Overview & Highlights

Welcome to the vibrant culinary world of La nuova delizia (La nova delícia), a hidden gem located in the charming streets of Alghero, Italy. Nestled at Via Goceano, 07041, this pizza restaurant stands as a beacon of authenticity in a sea of culinary choices. With its inviting atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff, it’s no surprise that diners often leave with smiles—and full stomachs.

What sets La nuova delizia apart is its commitment to crafting exceptional pizzas. As patrons rave, the crust perfectly balances softness and crispiness, while the thin base allows for a wonderful blend of flavors with each bite. The recommended Gallurese pizza, priced at a mere €7.50, epitomizes this quality. The use of a traditional stone oven elevates the taste, ensuring every pizza is baked to perfection, generating that authentic Italian experience right at your fingertips.

While the ambiance leans towards casual, with self-service offerings and a distinct lack of frills—plates and cutlery come out of a central station—the focus remains on the food. Diners appreciate this relaxed setup. It encourages you to truly enjoy the pizza, fostering a sense of community among those willing to indulge in the pure delight of Italian cuisine.

The menu is extensive, showcasing a variety of options that cater to every palate. A prevailing theme in customer reviews highlights the quality of the ingredients—fresh, flavorful, and authentically Italian. However, while the pizzas are lauded for their craftsmanship, some patrons have expressed a desire for bolder flavors, suggesting potential room for enhancement in seasoning.

In addition to dine-in, La nuova delizia also offers takeaway services, making it a convenient choice for those on the go. Priced fairly, this pizza spot is not designed to lure tourists but rather welcomes those in search of genuine Italian pizza.

In conclusion, if you're wandering the streets of Alghero and craving a delicious slice, La nuova delizia (La nova delícia) is a must-visit. This pizzeria promises a delightful culinary adventure rooted in authenticity and quality. With great pizza and a friendly vibe, it’s the perfect place to gather with friends or family, all while enjoying the essence of Italian pizza culture.

Delicious authentic pizza, warm and welcoming staff and so much choice! Couldn’t recommend here enough

I recently visited this pizzeria, the food was fantastic. The pizzas were authentic, baked in a real stone oven, and tasted delicious. However, the setup was quite informal—there were no plates, just the pizza boxes, and it was self-service for plastic cutlery and drinks from a fridge. Despite the lack of formal service, the quality of the food made up for it. If you’re after a great pizza and don’t mind the casual atmosphere, this place is worth a visit!

This is not the first place where one would think to have dinner as it's mainly a takeaway and it has only 3 tables but we had a nice night! Their menu is large, very large. That's usually not a good sign but in their case things still worked nicely. The pizza dough is very well levitated and cooked, which increases digestibility. The ingredients are of good quality. I wish they had a stronger, more distinctive taste while both pizzas variants seems to lack some kick. I loved that they had non-caffeinated coke, so I could have one!

Great pizza for a good price. You can pay by card. Not a tourist place, but if you are looking for Italian pizza you should go there!

Authentic, good selection, clean and usually fast. On my latest visit, I collected our order of four pizza’s. They do delivery, but we live nearby and enjoy the short walk. They have seating outside for customers to wait.
